Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
Guest Houses are arranged in order of their distance from the venue (nearest first), but all are within 10-15 minutes walk. All should be under £?? a night and a few are marked as being under £?? a night, but obviously you should check prices when you book. Since we haven't used any of these we're not in a position to make recommendations, so ask any questions you need to before you book.

List of 37 B&Bs removed. Five were noted as being particularly inexpensive, and (a different) six had email addresses. None had their own domain - the addresses were at cableinet.co.uk, clara.net, compuserve.com, msn.com, and two aol.com ones.
(These are all about 30 minutes walk from the BiCon venue.)
List of three gay guest houses removed. All were in Gilmore Place or Upper Gilmore Place. None had an email address.
Edinburgh is blessed with plenty of low budget hostel accommodation. Those listed below are arranged in order of distance from the venue (nearest first). Prices start at around £?? a night for a bed in single sex dormitory accommodation, and some hostels also offer single and double rooms. All of these should be under £?? a night, and to the best of our knowledge, none of them have a curfew. We cannot recommend any of them from personal experience, so ask questions before you book.
List of ten hostels removed. One had a sol.co.uk email address.
Edinburgh is a crowded city, and there are no camp sites anywhere near the centre, but these are the nearest.
List of two caravan sites removed. One had an aol.com email address and had pitches for tents about fifteen minutes drive away, the other was on a bus route from near to the venue.
